2 month check up

We went to see Dr. Fernandez today for Jocelyn's 2 month check up (a few days early).  She is getting sooo big, right before our eyes.  I can't believe I go back to work on Monday, and we almost have a 2 month old!  Crazy!  Miss J weighed in at 11 lbs 4oz and was 22 3/4 inches long.  Keep in mind she left the hospital weighing 7lbs 5oz.  I don't know what kind of milk I am making, but it must be good!  Here are some pictures from today.  Dad took a long lunch break to be with us.

Checking herself out in the mirror

Miss J got 4 shots today, and man, did she cry.  Thank goodness Dad was there to comfort her!

When we got home, she was in a much better mood after a car nap.  As I went to take her out of her car seat, she had the most precious face!  Had to snap a picture.

And another one!  She has been smiling since about 5 weeks

And then that was all she was going to have of the camera.  Time to take her out of the car seat :)

The PGA Golf Store...and Derek's Birthday

So, yesterday was Derek's big 3-0 birthday!  He took off of work to hang out with his girls.  We ran some errands and just enjoyed being off on a work day and having no crowds!  We decided to go to the PGA golf store to look around and hopefully get Derek something for his birthday.

Ladies, have you ever wondered where your men go during their lunch break?  They go to the PGA golf store.  Oh my gosh!  There were more men there in their work clothes than I could count.  It was kind of hilarious.  I guess us girls go shopping on our lunch breaks, and the men go hit golf balls at the PGA golf store.  Also, if you are on the prowl for a nice guy...this might be a good place to look also :)

I have a new found love for the PGA golf store too.  I decided to take advantage of the fact that they have the human touch massage chair on display.  I took a moment (15 minutes to be exact) and sat in the chair to feed Jocelyn.  I think I should do this more often!  Derek....can we go to the PGA store this weekend?

Family fun

Last weekend was my stepbrother, David's wedding.  All of the family came into town and we had a great time.  I thought I would post a few pictures from the weekend.  Somehow I always am in charge of the family photos?  Enjoy!

The Bill Bass Family

The Jim Bass Family

The Jim Foley Family

And the largest of them all (we keep multiplying) The Bob Bass Family (minus the bride & groom)

I have been meaning to post this picture.  Hilarious!  This is how she sleeps everynight.  You can take this one of many ways: "stick em up", "touchdown" or the Texas Rangers "Antlers" (only Rangers fans will get that!)

The Sunday after the wedding, Derek took me to the Rangers playoff game.  It was nice to have some me and Derek time.

I thought this was a good pictures, so I posted it.  This is at the rehearsal dinner last friday night at Maggiano's.  Yummy!

Miss Cameron, my niece, did such a great job holding Miss J

Halloween video with co-workers

Personalize funny videos and birthday eCards at JibJab!

I thought this was hilarious.  My sister sent me one, and I just had to do one myself.  I did this including 3 of my co-workers and my boss, the VP of HR.  Thankfully, he has a good sense of humor...I hope!  However, I can't figure out how to make the video not cut off on the sides?  Anyone?

Pumpkin Patch and 1st bath

We had a weekend full of firsts.  Miss J's umbilical cord FINALLY fell off (with a little help from Mom).  So, she got her first bath.  I hope I am not jinxing myself, but she doesn't mind the water?  She just sat there smiling and cooing and Derek and I.  Below are a few pictures.

Aunt Blaire and I decided to take Miss J to the pumpkin patch to snap some cute pictures, and pick up some pumpkins.  She was way to little, but next year will be much better.  She had a hard time keeping her eyes open due to the sun, so we were there for like 5 minutes.  Not usually a big deal, but it definitely took us about 45 minutes to get to the pumpkin patch, sigh!

Aunt Blaire looking all cool in her shades, holding Miss J

Not real sure why I felt the need to completely hunch over while holding her?!?

Her cute outfit that I found at Target on the $1 isle.  Yes, her bow cost 3 times more than the outfit.  Oh well!
