12 week sonogram

Right before Christmas break we went in for our 12 week sonogram and testing.  Here are some pictures of our little one. (I apologize for the lazy "pictures of pictures", I can't figure out my stupid scanner).

Doctor said everything looks normal and is measuring right on for a June 28th birthday!

Baby England waving hello!

Little feet all crossed

And we asked if the doctor could tell if it was a boy or girl, because at Jocelyn's 12 week, they were 95% sure she was a girl.  Not so much this time :(  He hem-hawed around for a while, tilted his head, jiggled my belly....and said he wasn't sure.  He did, however say that he was leaning toward a girl.  Not the 95% I was looking for, but we will find out soon enough.  We are just happy that first and foremost, Baby England looks healthy.  We are blessed!

Christmas 2012

We had a great Christmas this year.  Having a 2 year old made it even more fun, as she kind of understood what was going on.

The Sunday before Christmas, we made some yummy Christmas cookies!  We had a fun time decorating them too!

Jocelyn did well at decorating UNTIL Aunt Blaire informed her that you could "eat" the decorations, then it went downhill from there.  She pretty much ate her weight in cookie decorations :)  Thanks, Aunt Blaire!!  Can't wait till you have little ones...

My little stinker in her monogram dress

Jocelyn got her first Vera Bradley purse....because every 2 year old needs one!  Her Aunt Kiki, cousin Cece and Uncle Doug loaded her purse with lots of goodies.  Her favorite being the chapstick that she loves to eat....Oh, and she wore the sunglasses to church...totally normal!

After church on Christmas Eve, we went to my parents for dinner and gifts.  We got some great news when we got there that my step brother and his wife are expecting their first child!!  Even crazier news is that their baby is due 3 days after Baby England!  This is going to be sooo cool to have our little ones so close in age!  Who knows, maybe the babies will have a pow wow and decide to come on the same day!

Poppy and his 2 granddaughters, this time next year he will have 4 (grandkids that is)

Poppy, Lynna and their grandkids

Jocelyn and her new baby "Alexa Rae" straight from the Cabbage Patch Kids Nursery in Georgia!

We just keep multiplying!  Pretty soon, we will have to have 2 tables!

We even put up a new stocking for Baby England

Daddy reading "Twas the night before Christmas"

Cookies for Santa and a carrott for his reindeer

Loot from Santa.  If some of it looks familiar its because it probably is :)  We saved literally half of her birthday gifts and decided to give them to her later.

On Christmas Day we went to Gramma and Grandaddy's house
Gramma's are so fun!  They let you blow bubbles in their house!

She loved unwrapping her gifts!

Derek's Aunt, Uncle and cousin drove all the way in from Illinois for Christmas!

We also got a white Christmas!  So beautiful!

Priceless!

We are excited to share the great news!!  We told our parents over Thanksgiving and gave each pair a copy of this framed picture.  It took them a few minutes to figure it out, but they were excited to hear the news.  Baby England's due date is June 28th, so I am 12 weeks right now.  I have a sonogram on Thursday for a screen and "hopefully" we can get an idea of what we are going to have?!  With Jocelyn's 12 week scan, they were able to tell us that there was a 95% chance we were having a girl.  SO....fingers crossed!!

We feel so excited and blessed that we are going to have another child.  Jocelyn has been an absolute blessing in our lives, and we can't wait to welcome another little one!

Thanksgiving 2012

Derek and I were able to take off the entire week of Thanksgiving to spend time together.  We kicked off the holiday with a trip to Illinois to pick up the tractor .  Everything went very smoothly, and Jocelyn was a champ in the car for 14 hours (she and I flew up there to meet Derek, and drove home together).

We hosted Thanksgiving this year and invited everyone!  We had 11 people, and everyone brought something yummy to eat!  Derek and I made the turkeys for the meal and decided that we wanted to try and fry one.  If you have never done this, its pretty cool and the turkey is VERY good.

Yes, he rides it around the neighborhood.....

Our spread

We also took Jocelyn to see Santa.  Sorry for the poor picture quality (I had a digital download issue-so this is a picture of a picture).  She did pretty good, but as you can tell from the look on her face....she was not digging Santa.  It was kind of hilarious.  She did what mommy wanted, which was take a picture, then she was out!!

Overall, we had a great Thanksgiving...I can't believe it has already come and gone :(  BUT, we decorated the house for Christmas, and now I am excited!!

Bass Family Reunion

Every year my family gets together for our family reunion.  This year we had it in Dallas because a lot of the family that have little kiddos live here, so it was pretty convenient!  As always, we had a blast.

We had a packed weekend full of activities, wine tasting, shopping, eating, visiting, golf tournament and of course smack talking.

Saturday night dinner was at my house.  I think we had 29 people!!  We hired my good friend, Kristin Dunn to take our pictures.  Even though we were down a few family members, I think we still got some great pictures!

The Bass Family

My Dad, his sister and 2 brothers

My family....I can't believe J is smiling...she was being a toot that day!

My Stepbrother David and his wife Mandy

My sister Kim, her husband Doug and my niece Cameron (from Indiana)

I love saying this, and she hates it....but, we don't look anything a like do we?  Crazy!!

My family is pretty awesome, and I love to be around them.  We are very blessed!

Halloween 2012

I was excited about Halloween this year for a few reasons.  1.) Jocelyn is old enough to understand (kind of) the idea of trick or treating and 2.) A big group of us decided to meet up, have a pizza party and walk the neighborhood together.

Jocelyn and one of her favorite teachers, Ms. Cynthia (C-tia)

I snuck up to Jocelyn's school for a little Halloween Party.  She was super shy, and in the middle of the party looks up at me and says "I want to go home?!?"
Miss Jocelyn was supposed to be Little Red Riding Hood for Halloween.  However, as some of you know....2 year olds are in charge!  When we went to put her costume on she said, "no mommy".  Okie-dokey, no problem.  You can just wear this really cute outfit I got off of Zulilly for one million dollars....Thanks! :)

Jocelyn and her little friend Ava (they are a few months apart)

Miss Kaelyn and Miss Shae.  Always ready for a camera pose!
Chowing down on a little pizza
Could you just die?  This is sweet little Joseph.  His mom is the fun/crazy Canadian that lives in our neighborhood and this is what she put her son in!!  He is going to absolutely kill her one day, I love it!

Sweet picture of Jocelyn's outfit!

RHWOTK in our witch costumes!

Our attempt at a kiddo picture.  This lasted like 5 seconds and then the little ones were crawling away as quickly as possible.  It was like prom!

Kamdyn and Kyler

Miss Jocelyn waiting her turn to "trick or treat"

Miss Kyler loves little kids, and I mean with a capital "L".  She is so sweet and always says hello to Jocelyn and gives her hugs.  So, when she asked if she could pull Jocelyn in the really heavy wagon, I said absolutely!
She even walked her up to the last door to "trick or treat"

Jocelyn just let herself on into their house!!  Thank goodness it was our next door neighbor!  Jocelyn calls him Ca-wa (Carter).

Overall Halloween was a success!  I look forward to next year!
