Tah Dah! It's done!

Just in time!  We just received the final piece of decor for the nursery, so I quickly took pictures to post.  I have had several inquiries as to where the pictures were?  I (being the control freak that I am) needed to have all aspects of the nursery in place before sharing the pictures.  I will explain all of the details below...

This was taken from the doorway

Changing Table
Beautiful quilt my Aunt Kay made (Thank you!)

Cute lamp, basket FULL of blankets

My parents and Grandma Vi purchased this beautiful crib for Miss Jocelyn!

Decor above the crib

Baby quilt

Close up of the bumper.  My sister, Kim, was very generous and purchased all of the fabric for the nursery.  Her very sweet mom offered to make the bedding for the nursery, and I LOVE IT!!  (Thank you!)

This frame is to the right of the crib.  I put all of our maternity pictures in it.

Cute side table, and yes, I have put pink fringe on EVERYTHING!

The reading corner.  Derek's parents bought us the glider (Thank you!).

Derek's Dad made this bookshelf that I saw in a pottery barn magazine.  I LOVE IT and I know Jocelyn will have it forever.  She can't wait for her grandparents to come over and read her a book from her massive collection!

My sister, Blaire, hand made this precious measuring stick.

I am not sure??  But, I think she may need more clothes?

What good is the bathroom if it doesn't match the nursery?

And last, but not least, Miss J has a chandeleir in her room.  Derek said "no", I said "yes" and won!

40 Weeks

I went to get one last sonogram on Friday to check Jocelyn's weight. It slowed down a bit (EFW 8lbs 6oz), so the doctor wants to let me go until my due date (Tuesday) and if she doesn't come by then...then induce on September 2nd.

The sonogram was really neat this time, she kept sticking out her tongue and smacking her lips. Below is a picture of her doing just this. The sonogram technician and I just kept watching her do it, it was so cute!

I can't believe she will be here any day. We are so excited to meet her!

8 days and counting?

Not a lot of exciting news to report. I have received several calls, texts and emails asking me how I am doing, Thank you! Went to the doctor today and everything is looking good. Her head has dropped a little bit since last week, which is frustrating seeing as though the bathroom at work is on the COMPLETE opposite side of the office as me. I can't tell if I have to pee or if she is just moving around? We have another sonogram scheduled for this Friday to check on Miss J's weight. Unless, he suggests something else or she comes on her own, we have a date set to induce, September 2nd. For the crazy "planner" in me, this is great, however, this is 2 days past the original due date. Oh well, she will get here when she is supposed to?!?

Everyone keeps saying oh, you poor thing, this heat must be killing you! Up until today, literally, the heat has not been what is killing me,it has been the extra weight on my hips and back. I think it was when I was sitting in the exam room today sweating like crazy that I realized it us friggin HOT outside! I just can't cool down. I also sleep with NO covers on at night, and wake up to ask Derek if he is hot, only to find him snuggled up under the covers as if it is "cold" in our house. Geez! Other than that, I am doing okay and hanging in there. We are just really excited and anxious to meet Jocelyn!

37 Week update

On Friday, Derek and I went in for a 37 Week sonogram to check the growth of Jocelyn. Normally (I guess), you don't have a 37 week sonogram unless there is something wrong, or they want to check the weight of the baby. We were excited to see her once again and to learn what her estimated weight was. They said that she is approximately 7lbs 12oz!! Derek and I looked at each other in shock. I just can't believe that there is a 7 almost 8lb baby in my belly?!?

The doctor said that if I deliver in the next two weeks, I should be set for a normal delivery of a healthy 8-ish lb baby girl. However, if I am still pregnant in 2 weeks (I am due in 3), then we will be having discussions of a c-section. We are scheduled for another sonogram in two weeks, if I am still pregnant.

Nobody ever tells you how LONG the last few weeks of pregnancy are. I feel like all I do is sit around and wait, and I am very uncomfortable too! It will all be worth it soon. Here are the pics from the sonogram.

Aggie in training! Gig Em!

You have to look close on this one. This is a picture of her face (eyes, nose, etc.) But, she has her hand over her mouth.

This last one is of her profile. Check out those chubby cheeks and lips! love it!

Getting ready for baby!

I know, I know...I am ridiculous. This is just too stinking cute! Please don't ask me what else of Jocelyn's I have put him in :)
