Jocelyn's 1st Dance Recital

Yesterday, we had Jocelyn's first dance recital.  Derek and I were kind of nervous, because we recently found out from one of her teachers that she "hates" dance?!?  I think I figured it out though.  She is able to take dance at her school, and unfortunately, she is the only one from her classroom that takes dance.  So, every Tuesday when they come to get her, she has to leave her friends and that makes her upset.

Today when I got to her school, her teacher informed me that she could NOT get Jocelyn to go get changed for the recital, that she would rather eat her snack back in the classroom. Grrr!

I had to go bribe Jocelyn with a trip to Chic-a-nay (how she says it) in order for her to even put on her costume.  So, needless to say, we have been completely wasting $40 a month for the past several months...awesome!  We will not be continuing dance class up at school, but we will be continuing "Anastics" (as Jocelyn calls it).

She looks super happy in this picture :)  She made it up on stage, but literally didn't move the entire routine.  She just stood there and stared at the other girls.  She even got knocked over by one of the little girls that was trying to do the routine.  We laughed, but it was kind of ridiculous.

Waiting to go on stage

Still pissed off....

Check out her headband!  Haha!  I thought this was funny.

She participated in the group shot, but wasn't happy about it.

Yay!  She finally got her cookie, happy girl!  She looks so precious, but we definitely learned our lesson.  Too young for dance right now!  I am about 35 weeks in this picture and looking large and in charge!  Whew!

"Anastics"

Back in January, we enrolled Jocelyn in gymnastics...and she LOVES it!  It is a parent/tot class, so since I am large and in charge....Derek has been participating with Jocelyn every Saturday.

Jocelyn and Coach Myke

Like most parents, I am kind of biased...and I think she is really good.  However, Coach Myke says so too...but that could be because we pay her?!?  Jocelyn is so brave and will try anything.  She will get to move up to the independant class when she turns 3, so that will be really fun to see how she does with that.  I am also sure Daddy will apprecaite the break.  He always comments on how tired he is after gymnastics, ha!

Great friends....and a baby shower!

Today, 3 of my sweet friends from my childhood hosted a shower luncheon for me and Baby Grayson.  We went to the Chocolate Angel Tea Room, had lunch and had some girl time!

Kristin made these beautiful flower arrangements, they were perfect!

Not everyone was here yet, but I wanted to get a picture of the tea room.

Something to get super excited about when you are pregnant....dessert!  Yes, I know I am a nerd for taking a picture of the dessert tray.  And incase you were wondering...the fudge pie was AMAZING!

My dear friend, Kim, wasn't able to make it in from Austin...but sent some super cute onesies for our little man to wear!

Love this little baseball outfit, so cute!

My face is kind of creepy, ha!  But, this soccer training potty was a huge hit for Baby Grayson!  Derek loved it!

A group picture of all of my sweet friends and gramma to be again!

Thank you again to my sweet friends!  I am so thankful that we have remained so close after all of these years.  I look forward to watching our little ones grow up together.

Maternity Pictures

My neighbor and sweet friend, Haley recently took our maternity photos.  In true England photo session fashion....some sort of weather catastrophe was happening that day...always our luck!  Luckily, it was just super windy.  In some of the pictures my hair is blowing, and I am sure you are thinking I look like a Victoria's Secret model :)  Totally kidding!

It is so special to capture this time in our lives.  Not only are we so excited and blessed, Jocelyn is in love with my belly and her brother.  Everyday before I leave for work, she has to hug and kiss my belly.  She also loves telling people about her brother, Baby Grayson.  I know she understands that there is a baby in my belly, but I am not sure if she realizes that he is coming to live with us....and not leaving?!?  I know she will be a great big sister.

Love this one!

So glad we got pictures in bluebonnets as it is a Bass Family tradition!

I know, I know...Victoria's Secret model hair going on :)

I almost died of laughter when I saw this one.  Haley was telling Jocelyn to "pose" and I guess Jocelyn imitated her exactly!  Ha!  What a stinker!

8 month belly shot

I can't believe Grayson will be here in 8 weeks!
