Catching up

Sooooo...I guess we have been busy?!?  I have completely neglected the blog, I apologize!  I will do a random update, and then an Easter post separately.

For those of you who don't know, I am/was blind as a bat!  I have worn glasses or contacts ever since 3rd grade.  I have always thought about getting LASIK, but was too scared, thought it cost too much money, and told people I was going to wait until they came out with a pill to make your eyesight better...?? Haha!  Well, I got a streak of bravery and decided to go for it!  I must admit, it was pretty scary, and my heart was pounding out of my chest as this large machine lowered over my eyes, proceeded to slice my cornea open and shoot a laser in there...but it all turned out okay!  And, I even got to wear these sexy goggles for 3 days!  I am now seeing 20/15, and I still try and take my contacts out every night before bed because I can't believe it!  After the surgery, I woke up at like 4:15am, and turned over to see what time it was...and I could actually see the clock!  I had to wake Derek up to tell him about it...he was less than enthusiastic!

This little guy turned 9 months!  He started crawling at 8 1/2 months and has ZERO teeth unlike his sister at this age?  I will enjoy this gummy smile as long as it lasts.

Uncle Steven celebrated his 30th birthday, so Derek and I had a night out without the kids and we had a great time!

The Texas Rangers baseball season has officially started!  Jocelyn and Grayson had to support their team on opening day!

Derek (of course) and I went to opening day, and the weather was perfect!  Too bad we lost :(

I just can't believe this guy is 9 months, it has flown by.  I just enjoy every minute with Grayson as he completely melts my heart everyday.  He claps his hands when he is happy, is a pretty good eater (I am making his food), and is crawling everywhere and IN TO EVERYTHING!!  Oh my gosh!  He is a busy body for sure!  I think we will have our hands full.

On National Sibling day, I took some pictures of the kiddos at the park.  Jocelyn absolutely adores her brother.  She constantly is giving him kisses, hugs and saying how much she "wuves" him.  Grayson just smiles (except the top left pic) and takes all of Jocelyn's abuse...what she doesn't realize is that soon he will be completely mobile and make her life hell!  They are going to have the typical brother/sister love/hate relationship...I can see it now!  I can't wait to sit back and watch..haha!

I have been keeping a list of what I call Jocelyn-isms.  The things that come out of her mouth absolutely crack us up...and blow our minds daily.  I love it!  So, in this picture, I asked Jocelyn what she wanted to be when she grew up.....her answer....A mermaid!  Duh, that is like the highest paying profession of all the fish.  Of course she would want to be a mermaid.

A few pictures of Jocelyn and her best bud, Ava.  They too, have a love/hate relationship.  They love to ask to play with each other, then when we get them together all they do is tattle on each other.  Ava's mom and I just smile and tell them to go play.  I think it is the "3 year old mentality".  We played with confetti eggs on Good Friday, the weather was absolutely perfect!
