8 Months!

Time flies by when you are having fun!  Jocelyn has been so much fun lately and her personality is really coming out.  She is the happiest baby I know.  She doesn't really get upset about much of anything...only when she is hungry or tired.  She sits up really well and has excellent core strength.  She can't crawl yet, but I am sure as I click on "publish post", she will.  She can get up on all fours and rocks, and rocks.  You can tell she want's to crawl SOOO bad!  Since she can't crawl, she just rolls everywhere she wants to go, kind of funny.  She also does this weird thing with her hands?!? She rolls her hands around in a circle at her wrist??  I don't know why she does it, but she does it all of the time. 

Jocelyn is loving her food that I make for her.  It is very time consuming especially with a full time job, husband and 8 month old to worry about, but I love doing it for her.  Her favorite foods are pears & apples, avocado & bananna, butternut squash....well, it is just easier to list what she doesn't like...mangos & broccoli!  Weird, huh?  She is still taking about 27-30 ounces of formula a day, which is why she is literally 20 lbs, hehe!

She sleeps like a champ at night, going to bed at 7pm and sleeps till 6:30-7am.  She also takes a couple of naps during the day.  She is easily entertained, but does get upset when I leave the room (this is new).  She will also reach out for me to hold her, which I love.  However, when I hold her and Dad wants her to come to him, she just continues to hold onto me. 

Jocelyn loves baby einstein videos, paper, cell phones and of course Toby.  He still hates her, which sucks.  I worry about when she starts to crawl, I think he is probably going to growl and bite her possibly.  Jocelyn also can kind of drink out of a straw.  Several times we have put a straw into her mouth and she has sucked on it and swallowed the liquid! 

Above, I mentioned that some of Jocelyn's favorite things are paper, cell phones and Toby.  I don't know why I even spend money on toys for this kid when all she needs is this..............
